Maria Neville-Smith has been a highly respected and recognized massage therapist in Southwestern Michigan for over ten years, helping hundreds of clients improve personal well-being through different forms of massage and homeopathic remedies. Maria has always been actively interested in all aspects of health, nutrition, and overall well-being, herself an avid fitness and outdoor sports enthusiast.

The Granola Hut story really started about six years ago when Maria began baking a homemade granola from a recipe shared by a friend. After making some health-conscious modifications to the recipe, she started giving it away to clients and friends at holidays and other special occasions. The granola became more than just a gift as people came back to offer to pay for more of the high-quality, great-tasting snack. "Granola like this just can't be found in the grocery store," friends would say. Still others suggested she market the granola on a larger scale.

As the Granola Hut concept started to take shape, Maria continued to look at ways to make her granola as organic and as preservative-free as possible. It was about this time that Maria met her husband, Greg, who introduced her to multi-sport training and competition. With their busy schedules and the intense physical regimen required of training and competition, they found it difficult to work adequate amounts of protein and fiber into their diet - a challenge Maria took back to the kitchen in yet another round of revisions to the recipe. The result? A very healthy, nutritious, and delicious granola which provides a significant supplemental source of protein and fiber to any diet.
